We encourage undergraduate students to apply to Worcester State, no matter their citizenship status. Undocumented applicants, with and without Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status, are welcomed like any other applicant and will have access to the same services and support as students who are US citizens and permanent residents.
Undocumented students should follow the same steps for applying as other students. If you are in high school or have never attended college, follow the instructions for First-Year Applicants. If you have graduated from high school and have taken some college courses, follow the instructions for Transfer Applicants.
The Massachusetts Tuition Equity Law provides access to in-state tuition rates and state financial aid to undocumented students who have attended high school in Massachusetts for at least 3 years and earned a high school diploma or its equivalent in Massachusetts. This access ensures students who are not US citizens, including undocumented students, will have access to in-state tuition rates and state financial aid at public colleges and universities in Massachusetts, including Â鶹ÊÓƵ. Students who are US citizens or permanent residents may qualify for in-state tuition and state financial aid with 12 continuous months of Massachusetts residency prior to enrollment and should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) now. The state financial aid application for undocumented students is now available.
Students who are not US citizens or permanent residents may qualify for in-state tuition and state financial aid with 3 years of attendance at a Massachusetts high school and a high school diploma or its equivalent in Massachusetts. Such students should complete the Massachusetts Application for Student Financial Aid (MASFA) and Tuition Equity Eligibility Form.
